HARVESTING 2007
THE OLD FASHIONED WAY
at HEYSHOTT near MIDHURST
For the second year in a row we were blessed with glorious weather for Harvesting the Old Fashioned Way, which took place at Manor Farm, Heyshott, near Midhurst, on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 2007. Proceeds again go to Macmillan Cancer Support and R.A.B. Institution. Attractions this year included shire horses, threshing, steam engines, Chiddingfold, Leconfield and Cowdray fox hounds, Brighton and Storrington beagles, country crafts, vintage ploughing, gun dogs, Wall of Death, kids’ corner and a grand raffle. On Saturday evening there was a BBQ with live music.
Presented below are some pictures of the event. You can click on them to view larger versions and download them as desktop wallpaper. We hope you like the photographs.

Here is an important message from Macmillan Cancer Support:
“Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. We are a source of support: providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support. We are a force for change: listening to people affected by cancer and working together for better cancer care.
“The Midhurst area benefits from a range of services. Macmillan funds teams of specialist nurses, consultants and other healthcare professionals across West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey, who are on hand to help local cancer patients and their families all the way through their cancer journey. The local Macmillan community palliative care team, based at Midhurst Community Hospital, provide cancer patients with support within their own homes, and are working towards developing a more innovative, quite ground breaking service for the longer term. Other services include access to the Macmillan CancerLine, Support Groups and Macmillan Grants.
“It is so important that fundraising activities in the Midhurst area continue in support of Macmillan, to ensure that the valuable care and support offered to people affected by cancer continues. The money you raise now for Macmillan will make a vital contribution towards the cost of supporting this service.
“One in three of us will get cancer. 1.2 million of us are living with it. We can all help. We are Macmillan.”
