At Lavant Workwear we undertake all our embroidery onsite. We pride ourselves on an excellent finish every time and we take great care to ensure that all embroideries are level and in just the right position. We always use top quality embroidery threads and a suitable backing for the fabric. On garments with a pile such as fleece jackets we use a water-soluble topping to stop the embroidery from sinking into the cloth.
We do not undertake embroidery on postal orders, so please come and visit us in Midhurst, where you will be able to see examples of our work and view the fonts available.
Please note that we only undertake embroidery on items supplied by us.
There are four different services available:
‘Embroidery for Small Businesses’
This is aimed at small businesses and individuals who wish to avoid the set up charges associated with smaller orders. The font is ‘Arial’ (similar to the Windows font) in CAPITAL LETTERS. The embroidery size can be anything up to 5” x 3” (12cm x 8cm) and the price is just £2 plus V.A.T. per garment, for any quantity! There is no set up charge for this service.

Garment Embroidery Lettering Service
There is a choice of over 40 different dedicated embroidery fonts for this service. The price structure is below, and all prices are plus V.A.T.

Windows fonts can often be converted successfully for embroidery but the digitisation process is much more time-consuming. Therefore, there is a 50% surcharge on the set-up costs for non-embroidery fonts.

The maximum number of letters for 10"x8" embroideries is 20.

Above these character totals an extra charge of 10p per character applies on embroidery costs.

Baseball Cap Embroidery Lettering Service
The third service is for baseball caps. Garment embroidery and cap embroidery are entirely separate processes, and therefore totals cannot be combined for pricing purposes. The following is the price structure. All prices are plus V.A.T.

Logo Embroidery Service
The fourth service is for logos. We cannot provide a price structure here, as the cost is dependent on the complexity of the design and the number of stitches needed. Please provide artwork and we will quote.

This service is only available on orders of 24 garments or more.

The set-up charge for a logo is typically £40 + VAT. However, this can vary depending on the complexity of the design.

Not all designs are suitable for embroidery.

Any manipulation of lettering is termed as a logo rather than lettering for pricing purposes.
